James Marshall (he/him)

I grew up on a small farm co-op. And I was homeschooled alongside other neighborhood children.

My mother and sister were my closest allies on my journey towards adulthood. I did not always see it, but they have been there beside me for years.

I never saw myself going to college. The process of transitioning from a homeschool to a collegiate environment was a shocking experience but nonetheless an excellent one. I quickly became accustomed to having NO idea what the pop culture references were, but I had a thirst for knowledge that helped me burn through my academics.

I ended up receiving my Associates in Science from a community college in my hometown. Then, I transferred to Western Carolina University, where I spent the next 2 years studying Mathematics, Sociology and Computer Science.

Now, I have been working at Friends-Montessori since Fall of 2021. I work in the EL 1 classroom alongside Emmaly and run our aftercare programs.
